SRINAGAR: Police in North Kashmir’s Sopore reported the arrest of a man on Saturday, accusing him of provoking his wife to commit suicide.
According to a police official, the model town of Sopore witnessed a recent suicide case of a woman. Subsequently, a case was registered, and an investigation was initiated.
The officer revealed that during the investigation, they discovered evidence indicating that the deceased lady’s husband had encouraged her to commit suicide.
Consequently, the husband has been taken into custody under section 306 IPC and is presently behind bars. (KS)
