SRINAGAR: Five persons were injured in a road accident that took place in the Kotranka area of Rajouri district on Thursday, officials said.
They said that the driver of the car lost control over the vehicle following which the car fell into a ditch in the Rehan area of Kotranka. Soon after the accident, the team of police station Kandi and local people started the rescue operation and took all the injured to District Hospital Rajouri for treatment.
“The injured have been identified as Arfana Kosar wife of Mohd Alyas, Mohd Shabir son of Makan Din, Mohd Qadeer son of Nazir Hussain, Azmath Bagam wife of Wali Mohd and Shamim Akhtar all residents of Lamdarhal Nowshera,” they said.
Station House Officer Kandi Shakeel Manhas said that a case has been registered at Kandi police station and an investigation has been started. (KS)
