School Boy Devises App For Monitoring Women Hygiene IT Secretary Launches It

SRINAGAR: Commissioner Secretary of Science and Technology, Saurabh Bhagat, on Monday  launched the first phase of the FlowMappr application, developed by former Jodhamal Public School student Medansh Thusoo.

The app works to keep track of the monthly cycles of women while fostering a supportive community for personal and professional discussions.

Speaking at the launch event, Saurabh Bhagat commended Medansh Thusoo for his visionary idea and innovative thinking and expressed his belief that FlowMappr will transform the way women understand and monitor their reproductive health.

He said that FlowMapp is set to revolutionize the way women track their monthly cycles while offering a safe and supportive environment for personal and professional discussion through its vibrant community tab.

“By harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, the app provides women with an intuitive and accurate method for tracking ovulation and menstrual cycles. Utilizing cutting-edge algorithms and data analysis, FlowMappr empowers women to take control of their bodies, make informed decisions, and prioritize their overall well-being,” he said.

During his presentation, Medansh Thusoo acknowledged the invaluable guidance and support provided to him by Commissioner Secretary Saurabh Bhagat, “ FlowMappr was born out of the desire to create a holistic solution for menstrual cycle tracking. By unveiling this app, we aim to empower women worldwide to embrace their reproductive health.”

Ensuring privacy and data security, FlowMappr incorporates an anonymous mode, allowing users to interact freely while safeguarding their personal information. This unique feature fosters an environment where individuals can openly express themselves without compromising their privacy, reinforcing FlowMappr’s dedication to user-centric design and data protection.

The launch event was attended by Nasir Shah, Additional Director of JKST&IS, and Bilal Ahmed, Joint Director of JKST & IC. Their presence underscored the importance of this groundbreaking application in revolutionizing women’s healthcare and promoting overall well-being.
